I'm trying to catch up to my blog.. these days things have been busy! I'm really excited about Christmas next week. We will be having a dinner at our house, along with Paul's parents. Wish me luck as I've never cooked a big meal before! hehe.

Above is a lovely swap from my German swapper! She also included a nice homer for me as well, see below! It's made by Karen Bennett in 2006. It had many signers from lots of different countries.

Christmas tree & penpals

We got our tree up! The cat is really enjoying it.. haha. She thinks the ornaments are her toys :). I'm looking forward to the Christmas season, I really enjoy the music and the decorations for some reason. I also need to get working on my marathon FBs for two groups, those will be fun! I'll try and post those up when they're done. Not much else is new, I'm still looking for a job but haven't found one. I think all the stores have hired their extra help already (which is less people than last year). So I will be patient and wait for a job.

I'm looking for new penpals, if anyone is interested! I enjoy making/receiving FBs, but sometimes there's not even a note.. I really miss getting a great letter from a nice friend. It doesn't matter your age/where you're from just as long as you're serious about being penpals. I hate writing one or two letters and then never hearing from them again!

Princess Belle FBs

These are some Princess Belle FBs I made today for a group swap. They'll be going to Saudi Arabia tomorrow! :) I enjoyed making them, I decided to look online and find some Christmas music to listen to while making the FBs. LOL, I'm already in a Christmas-y mood!

Some other good news- we got a camera from my in-laws. They have another one and didn't need the one they gave us. So I'm very happy that I can now take pics of my FBs! You'll see more from me soon. <3 Steph

Hollywood Studios

Hi Everyone!

My parents visited us for about a week, and my dear friend Erin got us into Disney for free. She works for them :) So sometimes she has free passes. We met as roommates when I used to work there, we were both interns. I do miss Disney!! Anyway, we went to the Animal Kingdom park in the morning, we rode the "Expedition Everest" rollercoaster, and the Dinosaur ride, as well as saw the Nemo show (so cute!). We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe (really neat place!). Then we decided to go over to MGM, or I guess I should say "Hollywood Studios" as it's no longer MGM (guess their contract was up). We got to meet Prince Caspian from Narnia! He was very gentlemenly LOL. He said "Princess Erin, Princess Stephanie, where do you hail from?" it was funny. Erin has a better pic, he was smiling more.. but oh well! Figures! After that, we went to the Rockin' Rollercoaster, and then to the Tower of Terror. My mom actually went on the Tower of Terror to my surprise! And she liked it.. I don't really enjoy that one, although I go with everyone, it always scares the crap out of me, because you don't know when it's going to drop! But anyway, we had a great day. :)

Tarpon Springs

About a week and a half ago we went with my parents to a town called Tarpon Springs. They actually have a greek village there, with lots of tourists shops and restaurants :) Paul and I have been there once before but wanted to take my parents too. It was really fun! We went to a greek restaurant called Helenas (or something like that) and it was quite good. Then we walked around and shopped. I got a nice purse out of it too! I don't have a pic of it unfortunately. As you can see above, they catch sponges there, I guess it's the sponge capital of the world or something like that. And the last picture I took because it looked beautiful.

Snow White FBs

These are the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs FBs I made via NQB. They aren't too complicated, but I hope you like them! Thanks for taking a pic Nobue!

I've managed to find time to make a few FBs during this crazy moving in time. We're pretty much settled now and I'm looking forward to focusing more on my hobby :).

Moving

Sorry I haven't been able to update much lately! We're moving next weekend, and things are getting a little busy. We only have a 2 bedroom apartment but it's amazing all the stuff we've collected over a year and a half! I'm going to miss our apartment, but I'm really looking forward to moving into a house. It's not a new house, but a lot of it is remodeled inside and looks great. The best part of all is that Paul will only have to drive 12 minutes to work! Rather than an hour! :)

I will get some more scans up of FBs and swaps once I get settled in again. Meanwhile I'll be looking forward to all your new blog posts!!

New blog look & New FBs

Hi Everyone!

My friend Johanna recommended this page for blog layouts (finally some great ones!) and so I found one I liked and my husband helped me with the rest. Hope you like it!

So it's the long 3 day weekend, I'm happy! Paul and I are going to go for a cookout on Monday with his friend. We'll also be going swimming at their home. I have to buy a new bathing suit, hate that part though! Bathing suit shopping is the worst!!! haha.

I've been making many FBs this week (made about 17+) so I've been quite busy. Here are a few of them, I can't wait till I get a camera or a scanner, my cell phone cam doesn't quite cut it! LOL!

Tape Palling

Has anyone heard of tape-palling? My lovely friend Jaime introduced me to it, and now I can't get enough of it! It's where you talk on a tape, instead of writing a letter. It's really fun :) Not that many people know about it though.. But anyway, if you're interested in trying it with me let me know!

Blueberry Farm

Hi Again! Sorry this isn't quite FB related! I've decided to post a few pictures of what I've been up to for the past few weeks :) I'm working for my parents up in Massachusetts, they own a Blueberry farm! I've grown up here, and worked since I was a teenager here. At the bottom is the inside of the barn, this is where we weigh the blueberries and take the money, and we also serve ice-cream! Yum :) It's very beautiful here in the summer! But I will be heading back to Florida in 2 days. I'm really looking forward to seeing my husband!!!

New to the blogging world!

Hello Everyone!

I'm excited to start my new blogging adventure :) I will write here about life, my FB swaps & other creative things, pals.. and probably more! First things first I will try and post some pics of my recent FBs.. :)

I'm currently in Massachusetts working for my parents for 2 weeks. I really miss my husband Paul a lot! Don't worry Paul, we'll go to T.G.I. Fridays when I get back! :) I'm catching up on letters at the moment and will catch up on my august swaps when I get home. I miss having my FB supplies with me! LOL! I'm sad, I know!!!

Not much else is new, I'm hoping to go and see the new Batman movie this week! Has anyone seen it yet??
